It also happens to be the time when daylight makes its triumphant return as days slowly begin to get longer and the change in photoperiod triggers incredible adaptations in many animals and plants alike. Walk with Volunteer Naturalists at Walden Ponds to talk about the mysticism and science behind the shortest day of the year.
