Please join artist, Lydia Pottoff, for a paint session at the Walker Ranch Homestead during the Summer Heritage Evening to create artwork to submit to the ‘2018 Outdoor Creations – A Boulder County Juried Art Show.’ LYDIA POTTOFF A love of the outdoors inspired Lydia to leave her native Maryland and move to Colorado in 1973. She received a BA in fine art and graphic communications at Metropolitan State University in Denver. Lydia has been a partner in Epicenter Creative, a local design firm for over 23 years. The passion to create a more personal vision drew her back into fine arts; pastels were a natural choice since they combined her love of drawing and color. In the last 18 years she has pursued pastel painting and has pieces in private collections as well as group and solo exhibits. Most recently she had the honor of being juried into the 2018 Governor’s Show in Loveland. She teaches workshops from her studio near Lyons, Colorado. She is a member of the Louisville Art Association, Arts Longmont, Plein Air Artists of Colorado, and the Pastel Society of Colorado. Lydia has participated in professional workshops with Elizabeth Mowry, Paula Anne Ford, Desmond O’Hagen, Jake Gaedtke, Lee McVey, Bruce Gomez, Marc Hansen, and Liz Hayward Sullivan.
