I joined the Volunteer Ranger Corp in 2022. My husband is also a VR, and it's a pleasure patrolling together. Previously, I had fun working as a BCPOS Volunteer Naturalist from 1998–2023, and initially also wrote a few articles for IMAGES magazine. In 1999, I became an author of the Nature Detectives insert in IMAGES, and continued writing Nature Detectives until summer 2022. I enjoy meeting people on the trail, and sometimes even get to share some of the knowledge I gained as a VN and author.

I have a passion for sharing my love of the outdoors, especially with youth and those just starting to learn more about nature. I am an avid birder, and love learning & sharing knowledge about local birds and flowers. I grew up on the East Coast, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, and then an MBA in Information Sciences. After I moved to Colorado years ago, I started to hike, bike, and wander in our beautiful Front Range. I am happiest exploring outdoors.
