Learn how grassland and wetland wildlife respond and adapt to winter on the prairie along the Colorado Front Range. Volunteer naturalists will lead this easy walk to explore and learn about the different winter strategies employed by wildlife that migrate through or live year-round in prairie ecosystems of Boulder County.

I moved to Boulder in 2015 and have been a volunteer naturalist ever since. Prior to living in Boulder I lived on Sanibel Island where I was a volunteer naturalist for both the NWR and the Conservation Foundation. My profession was as a middle school science teacher.
I am an avid naturalist with an academic background (WAY back background) in ecology. I participate in citizen science projects, work on my native plant landscapes and am an active birder. Love to travel with horses and dogs.
