Last year, Parks & Open Space thinned 65 acres as part of a wildfire risk reduction grant. Now that the trees have been removed, volunteers are needed to help put the finishing touches on this area. Work may include thinning small diameter trees, dragging slash (limbs from trees) away from trees and rehabbing impacts from forestry equipment. Volunteers will meet in Longmont and be shuttled in county vehicles to the worksite. Further details will be provided upon registration.
