Natural History - All Ages Welcome

(Zoom Link will be provided to registered participants on Monday, May 10) Some birds are seen year-round in Boulder County, some only in summer or winter, and some birds visit only briefly in spring or fall. Learn why birds make seasonal journeys, how they know when and where to go, how they find their way, and what brings them back year after year. Join volunteer naturalists Larry Arp and Vicki Braunagel to explore these and other fascinating mysteries surrounding the amazing world of bird migration.

Born in Tucson and growing up near Minneapolis, the mountains and deserts of the west brought me to Boulder in 1974. I attended CU-Boulder for undergraduate, graduate, and law degrees, and practiced environmental law for 7 years, before returning to my love of sharing nature with others. I was fortunate to be the Natural History Program Coordinator for BCPOS for 24 years before retirement, and the VRC program allows me to continue to roam the trails and share our open space legacy with others.
